DATA SCIENTIST - FORECASTING £50,000 - £60,000 WEST YORKSHIRE (hybrid)

Take on an influential role within an innovative and digital-first retailer making waves in how data is used within ecommerce! Work across forecasting in relation to supply and demand, helping this company plan their stock and logistics through data science modelling.

THE COMPANYThis is a UK renowned retailer within fashion and homeware going through a digital transformation and growing within data. This role allows you to have an instant impact on the business by optimising their processes and implementing solutions.

THE ROLEAs a Data Scientist for this team, you will:

• Use SQL and Python to work on machine learning and statistical modelling across the end-to-end supply chain
• Help automate and optimise supply chain and logistics processes through data and technical solutions
• Deliver short, medium and long-term forecasts across all sites and operations within this business
• Provide insights that can influence the global business saving money and becoming more efficient
• Use live data to improve logistics forecasting

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Strong technical skills in SQL and Python for statistical modelling and forecasting
• Excellent communication skills, able to speak confidently with senior stakeholders
• Preferably have experience in forecasting and supply chain/demand (not essential, but this is what you'll be working on!)
• Proactive attitude to get stuck-in with the team and problems
