About the role The Tooling Solutions Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of tools and services used within IT Services and the University. These solutions enable the University's future-state business capabilities and drive its targeted business outcomes. The Tooling Solutions Architect will provide organisational leadership, facilitation, analysis and design around the development of the University's tooling architecture within IT Services. The postholder will also develop target-state guidance (e.g. standards, guidelines, platforms, configurations, etc.) that will meet the ends of a continually evolving technology landscape. The role will help ensure tooling is used to its full potential to enable business outcomes and value for money, leading the architecture of key systems such as ITSM, monitoring systems, mobile device management and deployment tools amongst others. The Tooling Solutions Architect will be a key member of the Technology division leadership team, providing strategic direction, anticipating challenges, driving performance and building the capability required to ensure secure and robust technical solutions and supporting infrastructure. Salary / Package This is a senior leadership position (grade 8) offering a competitive salary (depending on experience), along with 29 days annual leave (plus 4 closure days over Christmas and 8 bank holidays), flexible working (office based at least two days a week) and an attractive pension scheme (up to 21% employer contributions).
