Technical Analyst

Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a Technical Analyst to work within Reigate & Banstead Council. You will need to assist in the implementation of new internet access and WAN services for Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, comprising of: new BT Internet connections at 2 sites, 2 BT short haul circuits between these sites with full redundancy, layer 2 switching to manage failover of Internet link to the other site should one fail.

Some Key Information is Highlighted below:

Rate: £250 per day.

Hours: 36 hours a week with occasional out of hours work required to minimise disruption to the business. Project outline.

Contract and Start Date: 4 month contract starting late April, early May 2024.

Working Arrangements: Hybrid role, mainly home based with occasional travel to Reigate.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Firewall and router configuration skills (specifically Fortinet and Juniper) Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP network design and implementation, including routing protocol OSPF and BGP
• Experience of the Public Sector Network (PSN) certification process Ability to manage third party suppliers such as BT
• Excellent documentation skills Experience of cutting over networks from old to new services Local Government or NHS experience is desirable.
