Role - IT Service Desk Support

Salary - £27,000 - £30,000

Location - Edinburgh

Our client is looking to add to their IT service desk to be the first point of contact within the organisation, providing 1st and 2nd line support across a range of technologies including system software, PCs and laptops, peripheral accessories and applications. The role is based out of either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

Your day-to-day:

  • Manning the organisations IT service desk and delivering 1st and 2nd class support to members of the organisation.
  • Logging, investigating, troubleshooting and resolving calls that come through the service desk.
  • Setting up and managing user accounts.
  • Supporting the installation and management of remote homeworking installations.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation relating to the IT service desk.
  • Technology supported includes, but is not limited to, Dell and Microsoft devices, Windows 11, Office 365, multi-factor authentication administration, mobile devices and business specific software.

About you:

  • You'll have a minimum of 12 months experience in an IT support of IT service desk role within a professional services environment.
  • Good all-round knowledge of IT software and hardware. Knowledge of audio/visual technologies is also desirable.
  • Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
