Senior SQL Developer

Senior SQLdeveloper requird for an investment management client

You will be joining a global investment management firm committed to delivering better outcomes for its clients.

As a SQL Developer within the Technology team, you will be instrumental in building out the Enterprise Warehouse and the database backend of the accounting platform. This platform handles large volumes of rapidly processed data and is transitioning from batch processing to real-time operations.

You will have the opportunity to ultimately take over complete ownership of the platform and management of the offshore team. The application includes the private client accounting platform, with some institutional data feeding through and eventually all institutional accounting will be moved to the new platfrom. This is a critical application used by the business for start of day trading, performance, client reporting, with many stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of offshore developers and QA professionals, alongside the London Technical Lead
• Develop SQL Server code (T-SQL) and utilize SSIS for data integration.
• Create data marts to support reporting and analytics.
• Provide production support for critical applications.
• Attend senior business stakeholder meetings.
• Analyse data warehouse systems and create technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: Mid - level development experience.
• Industry: Financial industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Analytical Mindset: Logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ownership and Collaboration: Take ownership of tasks and collaborate effectively

Technical Skills:

• SQL Server: Proficiency in SQL Server development.
• T-SQL: Strong skills in Transact-SQL.
• SSIS: Experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
• SQL: Understanding of SQL query optimization and performance enhancements.
• Service Broker: Familiarity with Service Broker (good to have).
• Large Application Databases: Knowledge of building large, scalable databases
