Applications Engineer

We are working with a client who is looking to expand their team looking for a Application Engineer with a strong passion for technology and an interest in UK manufacturing.

This role is ideal for an engineer with solid experience in variable speed drives and motion control applications, who enjoys solving real engineering problems and providing high-quality technical support.

The Role

As a Motion Control Technical Support Engineer, you will support customers, system integrators and OEMs with the specification, sizing, application and integration of inverter drives and associated motion solutions. You will work on real-world industrial applications, not just products, helping customers achieve reliable, efficient and optimised systems.

What We re Looking For

• In-depth knowledge of inverter (variable speed) drive applications
• Experience in drive sizing and specification, including use of tools such as TIA Selection Tool
• Strong understanding of applications including: Energy saving, Position and speed control, Load sharing, Converting and winding applications and Long motor cable installations
• Ability to support project specification, integration and drive control
• Practical knowledge of advanced motion applications (desirable)
• HNC or higher in Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality technical support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, long-term customer relationships
