Description:
Design and own enterprise-level data architecture including data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse platforms.
Define data modelling standards (conceptual, logical, physical; dimensional modelling; canonical models).
Lead cloud data platform design using Azure/AWS/GCP services, including scalable storage, compute, and integration patterns.
Set data governance standards covering data quality, metadata, lineage, retention, and regulatory compliance.
Architect ETL/ELT and streaming pipelines using modern tools (e.g., ADF, Databricks, Kafka, Fabric).
Ensure security and compliance via IAM, encryption, data zoning, RBAC, and platform best practices.
Drive performance optimisation across queries, pipelines, compute clusters, and storage structures.
Partner with business and technology leaders to translate requirements into data architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
Provide technical leadership to engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
Establish best practices for data lifecycle management, integration, and platform operations.
Stay current with emerging technologies and guide platform evolution accordingly.
