Software QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer for an excellent client based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for to testing and validating internal and third-party software solutions, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and security standards.

You will collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

This is predominantly an office-based role with the expectation to be in the office 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Collaborate with developers to investigate, track, and resolve defects
• Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance test coverage and defect analysis
• Develop and maintain automated tests (Python scripting)
• Report defects using tools such as JIRA
• Participate in test planning, estimations, and Agile ceremonies
• Deliver customer demos, training, and internal knowledge sharing
• Travel internationally for customer acceptance testing and Go-Live support
  

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in software testing
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle
• Python scripting
• Experience with automation and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, ADO)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• QA certification desirable
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience would be beneficial
