Software Development Manager

£90 - 95k basic

Manchester - Hybrid with one day a week in the office and 4 days WFH

Your new opportunity

You'll be leading a team of 10 of the most senior developers within the business as they build out new products and inject AI into their platforms.

This is a hands off role, where you'll be line managing individuals, monitoring performance and owning the standard of products being created, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.

A key part of this role will be fostering and promoting a collaborative, productive environment where your reports are motivated to share ideas and improve process.

Your new organisation

You'll be joining a global SaaS technology organisation that is the market leader in their sector. They are passionate about software and technology and are continually striving to be better and stay clear of their competitors.

Although extremely well established with a huge customer base, they are continuing to grow and develop new products whilst embracing AI and it's capabilities.

What you'll bring

You've come from a strong development background but your passion now lies in people management and inspiring others.

Some skills and knowledge you'll bring:

• Extensive experience of managing a development team in a SaaS environment.
• Strong experience in managing and monitoring engineering performance and implementing and driving continuous improvement.
• A background in hands on Software Development and experience in the following tech stack: NestJS/NodeJS, Redis, TypeScript, SQL Server (other tech backgrounds will be considered).
• The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and to challenge Tech leads and other senior stakeholders.
