Role: IT Technician (Temporary)Hourly Pay Rate: £16.86 - £17.91Location: Central Cambridge (On Site 5-Days)Estimated Length of Assignment: 1 month+ Appointment Subject to DBS Check A well-known and prestigious organisation is seeking an IT Technician to provide 1st & 2nd line IT support across its main site and associated locations. This is an ongoing temporary assignment, offering hands-on involvement in day-to-day service delivery, user support, hardware and software installation, and assistance with networking and infrastructure activities within a busy operational environment.Core Responsibilities:
Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests and incidents
Providing first line investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of routine technical issues
Escalating unresolved issues appropriately and maintaining accurate support records
Installing, configuring, and decommissioning hardware and software
Supporting application maintenance and troubleshooting
Assisting with network and infrastructure support activities
Contributing to incident and problem management processes
Supporting staff onboarding and induction on IT tools and services
Experience Required:
Experience providing 1st & 2nd line IT support within a professional environment
Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WiFi, switches, routers)
Experience installing and configuring hardware and software
