On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Financial Crime Business Analyst, for an initial 6 month contract. Hybrid with 2 days per week required in the London Fenchurch Office.

Purpose of the role

M&G are seeking a Financial Crime Business Analyst to support a transformation programme focused on strengthening their customer due diligence reliance framework. The role will support the review and enhancement of financial crime controls, helping to assess current processes, identify gaps and contribute to the design of a robust future operating model.

Working within the financial crime transformation programme, the Business Analyst will support analysis, design and implementation activities across the Reliance workstream, helping to ensure the organisation's framework meets internal policy standards and regulatory expectations.

What You'll Do

  • Support the review and analysis of the current financial crime reliance framework, including controls, monitoring and governance processes.
  • Assist with current state assessments to identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement within existing due diligence processes.
  • Contribute to the review of advisor due diligence arrangements to assess whether reliance remains appropriate under regulatory expectations.
  • Support the development of a future target operating model for the reliance framework, including defining improved controls and oversight processes.
  • Document business requirements, processes and future state designs to support programme delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across financial crime, compliance and risk functions to support programme activities.
  • Assist with the development of a delivery roadmap and support implementation of required transformation changes.

The Skills you'll need

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst within financial services transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime frameworks, particularly due diligence, AML, KYC or CDD processes.
  • Experience analysing business processes and supporting the design of improved operating models.
  • Ability to gather and document requirements and support solution design within a change programme.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across risk, compliance and business teams.
  • Experience working in fast-paced programme environments with multiple workstreams.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on financial crime transformation programmes within large financial services organisations.
  • Background in management consulting delivering financial crime or regulatory change initiatives.
  • Exposure to operating model design or regulatory remediation programmes.
