About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Technical Lead (SFIA Level 6) to guide and manage a high-performing development team delivering complex mobile solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader with strong hands-on knowledge across both iOS and Android and a background in large-scale, highly regulated digital environments.

You will provide both technical direction and line management to mobile developers, ensuring the delivery of a secure, high-quality, user-focused mobile application.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-platform mobile development team
• Provide expert technical guidance across iOS and Android
• Oversee architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering best practice
• Ensure mobile application development aligns with organisational standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate closely with product, security, and wider technology teams
• Drive continuous improvement and promote modern engineering techniques

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead within mobile app development
• Strong knowledge of both iOS and Android ecosystems
• Experience delivering mobile solutions within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Background working in high-security or highly regulated digital settings
• Demonstrable leadership skills: coaching, mentoring, performance management
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction

• Flexibility to travel occasionally to Telford
