About the role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for business development via new account acquisition and the development of existing accounts. The Business Development Manager will identify multi-site opportunities within business sectors of their responsibility, that directly align with GroupNexus objectives and their personal targets. Working to agreed long-term commercial goals, targets are achieved through acquiring and developing new client relationships, growing our ownership of specific client portfolios and a broader sector market share. This includes identifying the needs of clients and prospects by aligning GroupNexus products and services and negotiating complex commercial arrangements.

About the role:

• Achieve specific commercial goals & targets.
• Strategic selling of products and services in-line with group strategy & client interests.
• Develop detailed sector sales strategy & present quarterly.
• Manage inbound enquiries and maximise long term success.
• Identify, research & contact new multi-site prospects regionally & nationally.
• Maximise longer term client relationships, upselling added value & site acquisition.
• Regular client liaison via calls, video and face to face field visits.
• Maintain an accurate sales cycle in the CRM system.
• Collaborating across departments, contributing to the team & broader business strategy whilst reviewing client development success

Person requirements:

• Professional & confident, with a drive to deliver results through the acquisition of new clients.
• Ability to nurture and build long term relationships with new & existing clients.
• Demonstrable success in B2B commercial sales
• A background in the business sectors role specified
• The ability to manage & deliver strategic opportunities across a longer sales cycle.
• Outstanding communication & networking skills.
• Engaging presentation & negotiation skills.
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
• The ability to build & understand commercial sales models
• An understanding of negotiating contractual terms & conditions.
• Confidence in consultative selling at board, C level & above
