Data Architect to join a leading UK brand on their Legacy to SAS programme.
Long term engagement, 60% remote.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and design of SAS solutions across Legacy SAS and SAS Viya environments.
Provide technical governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Define integration patterns between SAS platforms and enterprise data warehouses.
Advise on SAS modernisation, migration, and coexistence strategies.
Act as the technical authority for SAS-related decisions and risk management.
Collaborate with engineering, platform, and vendor teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
Extensive experience as a SAS Architect or Senior Technical Lead.
Strong knowledge of Legacy SAS (Base SAS, SAS Grid, SAS 9.x) and SAS Viya.
Proven experience integrating SAS with enterprise data platforms and data warehouses.
Experience delivering solutions within large-scale or regulated environments.
Exposure to cloud platforms, data lake/lakehouse architectures, and multi-supplier delivery models.
Open to candidates across the UK who can travel to Telford 40% of the time - the ideal candidate would be located in: Telford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Coventry & other neighboring cities/towns
