Senior Network Security Engineer , Proxy SME, Skyhigh Security Web Gateway, McAfee, I am seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Skyhigh Security Web Gateway (SWG) proxies to join a high-performing network engineering team within a global financial services environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the implementation, configuration, and support of complex network and security services. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to design and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions across a critical enterprise network. The role:- Implement and configure network and security technologies within production environments.
- Design and engineer new services, ensuring solutions meet security, availability, and resilience requirements.
- Collaborate with support teams, business units, and external partners to deliver end-to-end connectivity solutions.
- Translate high-level architecture into practical, low-level technical designs and implementation plans.
- Participate actively in change management processes and production deployments.
- Provide 3rd line support and technical escalation for complex network-related issues.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and technical risks.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure successful handover into operational support.
- Support strategic initiatives and project delivery through consultation and technical expertise.
- Drive network automation and process improvement initiatives where appropriate.
Skills required: - Strong expertise with Skyhigh Security Web Gateway (SWG) and enterprise proxy technologies.
- Proven network engineering, implementation, and architecture experience.
Strong knowledge of: McAfee, Skyhigh - Routing & Switching
- Network Security
- Firewall Policies and Rule Management
- VPN Technologies
- Dynamic Routing Protocols
- Cisco Networking Technologies
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale network solutions.
- Ability to convert architectural designs into technically viable implementation plans.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex production environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
