About the Role

Our client is expanding its custody and securities services capabilities across the Middle East and is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Operating Model Consultant to support the development of its Saudi capital markets operating model.

Based in London, this 6-month contract role will focus on mapping and designing the end-to-end Saudi custody operating model, including process flows, operational capabilities, service requirements, and client demand within the Saudi market.

The successful candidate will work closely with business SMEs and cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Client Service to understand market requirements and define the processes, controls, governance, and operating structures required to support a successful Saudi market offering.

The ideal candidate will have experience within Saudi custody markets; however, candidates with strong Saudi capital markets experience and a deep understanding of post-trade processes, market infrastructure, and client requirements will also be considered.

Knowledge of Edaa (Saudi Securities Depository Center) and Tadawul (Saudi Exchange) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Map end-to-end Saudi custody process flows, including current-state and target-state operating models.
• Define the operating model required to support Saudi capital markets capabilities, including processes, controls, roles, governance, and technology requirements.
• Assess market needs and client demand to help shape custody and securities services capabilities.
• Conduct current-state assessments and identify business, operational, regulatory, and service gaps.
• Facilitate requirements workshops across Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Client Service teams.
• Translate Saudi market requirements into business processes, operating procedures, and operational capabilities.
• Document requirements relating to Edaa, Tadawul, settlement, custody, and asset servicing activities.
• Produce detailed process maps, operating model documentation, requirements specifications, and RACI models.
• Support implementation planning, governance, and operational readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to validate the operating model design.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience working within Saudi custody markets or Saudi capital markets.
• Strong understanding of custody operations, securities settlement, asset servicing, and post-trade processes.
• Experience mapping complex business processes and designing target operating models.
• Knowledge of Saudi market infrastructure, including Edaa and Tadawul.
• Experience assessing client requirements and market demand within financial services.
• Experience delivering market entry, regulatory change, or transformation programmes.
• Ability to translate regulatory, market, and client requirements into practical operating capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills.
