On behalf of Companies House, we are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer Inside IR35 for a 6 moths contract based remotely.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
Key Responsibilities . Design, build, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. . Implement and enforce security best practices across cloud platforms, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical services. . Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash to improve operational efficiency and strengthen security controls. . Build and support CI/CD pipelines, embedding security into the software delivery life cycle and automating deployment processes. . Deploy, manage, and secure containerised workloads using Docker, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards. . Monitor infrastructure and cloud environments, proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security risks. . Manage and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, ensuring least-privilege access across environments. . Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams to design and implement secure-by-default solutions. . Support incident response activities, troubleshooting security and infrastructure issues and driving root cause analysis. . Champion continuous improvement through automation, infrastructure standardisation, and cloud security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience . Strong experience with AWS Cloud services and cloud security. . Proven expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. . Strong Scripting skills in Python and Bash. . Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines. . Hands-on experience with Docker and container security. . Strong understanding of security principles, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management, and IAM. . Experience administering and securing Linux environments.
