Flexera SAM Tooling, Data & Operations Consultant

M4 Digital Group an IT Delivery Practice is a forward thinking and fast-growing SME with an established UK client base. As the next stage in our expansion plan, we require the services of a Flexera SAM Tooling, Data & Operations Consultant to be responsible for the technical operation, data quality and day to day fulfilment of a Software Asset Management service built on Flexera. To provide hands on administration, troubleshooting and optimisation of the Flexera platform, ensuring accurate entitlement, inventory and consumption data across complex IT estates. You will support ELP preparation, variance analysis, reporting and operational SAM requests, maintaining clear audit trails and evidence packs. Acting as the technical engine of the SAM service, you will ensure reliable data, consistent reconciliation and high quality outputs that underpin compliance, optimisation and licensing decision making.

Primary Accountability

• Flexera technical support and administration
• Data reconciliation and quality assurance
• ELP data preparation, analysis and variance investigation
• Reporting and operational SAM request fulfilment
• Maintenance of audit trails, evidence packs and service documentation

• Hands on Flexera administration and support
• Front End and Back End Flexera troubleshooting
• Entitlement data loading, validation and maintenance
• Software consumption reconciliation and variance analysis
• ELP data preparation and support for compliance reviews
• Inventory integration knowledge (SCCM/MECM, Intune, Active Directory, virtualisation, cloud, procurement/licence repositories)
• Data quality management and exception handling
• Reporting through Flexera, Excel, Power BI or similar tools
• SAM service request handling and fulfilment
• Ability to maintain clear, structured audit trails and evidence packs

• Flexera administrator or practitioner experience
• ITIL 4 Foundation
• Power BI or data analyst certification
• IAITAM CSAM or CHAMP
