Business Development Manager

Location: Gloucester / Bristol
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35,000
Commission: Uncapped, with an OTE up to £80,000

Providing innovative solutions to businesses across a range of sectors, our client is now looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join its fast-paced, high-performing team in Gloucester.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will identify new opportunities, secure new business and develop lasting relationships with customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys winning business and wants to benefit from a highly rewarding, uncapped commission structure.

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities
• Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking and lead generation
• Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations
• Develop a thorough understanding of prospective customers needs
• Create tailored proposals that clearly communicate value
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while protecting profitability
• Maintain regular contact with prospective customers
• Conduct market research and identify opportunities for growth
• Keep customer records, contracts and sales documentation accurate and up to date
• Prepare sales forecasts, activity updates and monthly reports
• Share customer and market insight with the wider team
• Consistently work towards individual and company sales targets

• A proven track record in sales or business development
• A confident, proactive and results-driven approach
• Strong prospecting and new-business generation skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities
• The confidence to build relationships with key decision-makers
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant CRM systems
• Determination, resilience and a genuine desire to succeed
