Role Title: Head of Business Systems & IT

Location: Norwich (Hybrid after agreed period)

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Working Hours: Monday to Friday flexible to be agreed

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Depending on experience

Outlook Publishing is an award-winning digital media company delivering B2B content across global markets, backed by an evolving product portfolio and commercial client network. Technology sits at the center of how we operate, collaborate, and scale particularly across Salesforce, Slack, automation, and AI.

We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Head of Business Systems & IT to take ownership of our core business systems and wider technology environment. Salesforce is the engine of our business and will be the primary focus of the role. We are looking for someone who can not only maintain what we have built, but proactively develop it, identify opportunities for improvement and help us unlock the full potential of our investment in Salesforce, Slack and AI.

Key Responsibilities

1. Salesforce, Slack & AI

• Own and develop our Salesforce environment, including Flow, custom objects, reporting, data, users, permissions and integrations.
• Understand our commercial and operational processes and translate business requirements into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Administer Slack Enterprise and continue developing the integration between Salesforce and Slack.
• Lead the ongoing development of Agentforce for Sales, Slackbot and practical AI use across the business.
• Work closely with teams across the business to identify opportunities to improve processes through Salesforce.

2. Business Systems & Technology

• Manage and review our connected Salesforce ecosystem, including Natterbox, SalesScreen, SalesSign, Own, Validity and Commercient.
• Manage and review our wider sales enablement and digital tool stack (LinkedIn, Lusha, ZoomInfo, generative AI etc), monitoring usage and costs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and oversee user access, licences and system onboarding/offboarding.

3. IT, Hardware & Security

• Oversee laptops, office technology, networking, Wi-Fi and other workplace hardware.
• Maintain appropriate security, access and MFA across our systems.
• Manage external IT, hardware, telecoms and technology suppliers where required.
• Provide practical IT support where appropriate, working with external partners for specialist issues.

What we're looking for

Essential

• Salesforce Certified Administrator with at least two years of practical Salesforce administration experience.
• Strong Salesforce Flow, reporting, data management and integration experience.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 and workplace technology.
• Strong interest in AI and its practical application within business.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to understand business problems and turn them into practical technology solutions.
• Comfortable being hands-on and working directly with users across the business.

Desirable

• Experience with Agentforce or other Salesforce AI products.
• Experience administering Slack Enterprise and Salesforce/Slack integrations.
• Experience in a sales-led B2B environment.

The type of person we're looking for

We're not looking for someone to simply keep the lights on. We want someone genuinely curious about technology, interested in how the business operates, and motivated to continually improve the systems behind it.

You don't need to arrive knowing everything about Agentforce, AI or Outlook. What matters is that you're willing to learn, experiment, and explore how technology can make a genuine difference to the business.

You'll be comfortable talking to a salesperson about how Salesforce could make their job easier, improving a Flow, exploring what AI could automate, or getting involved with a practical IT issue when needed.

Ultimately, we want someone who understands both the technology and the business it exists to support.
