IT Support Engineer

Enjoy troubleshooting the issues that need a bit more investigation, rather than simply passing tickets on?

We're recruiting for an established, technology-driven business investing in its IT function. With a recently strengthened support team and plenty of ongoing technology projects, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to keep developing their skills.

Much of the routine first-line activity has already been automated, meaning you'll spend more time resolving genuine technical issues, improving systems and getting involved in projects.

What you'll be doing

• Taking ownership of escalations through to resolution.
• Supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Managing devices, applications and deployments through Intune, including laptop builds, policies and provisioning.
• Using PowerShell to support device configuration, administration and automation.
• Troubleshooting Windows devices, business applications and connectivity issues.
• Investigating issues with SQL-based applications and APIs, working with other technical teams where needed.
• Supporting onboarding, offboarding, access management and security.
• Contributing to technical documentation, service improvements and wider infrastructure projects.

What we're looking for

You'll already have solid experience in a genuine 2nd Line IT Support position and be comfortable investigating and resolving problems independently.

We're particularly interested in people with:

• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Exchange, Teams and SharePoint.
• Hands-on Intune, Entra ID and Active Directory knowledge.
• Confident Windows troubleshooting and good general networking knowledge.
• Experience with application deployment, device management and ideally PowerShell.
• A practical, customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate well with colleagues at all levels.
• An understanding of ITIL or structured IT service management.

You don't need to know everything. What's important is that you're technically curious, enjoy problem-solving and are keen to broaden your experience.
