Lead Data Engineer

We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join a large-scale data transformation programme, helping shape the future of an enterprise data platform.

This role suits someone who combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery. You'll be comfortable challenging solution designs, influencing architecture decisions and then building the solution yourself.

Key experience required:

• Deep expertise in dimensional modelling, semantic models and Power BI
• Strong experience designing and building Gold-layer data solutions
• Ability to work across engineering, analytics and reporting
• Experience influencing technical direction and challenging design decisions
• Enterprise-scale mindset with a focus on scalability, reuse and maintainability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Comfortable mentoring engineers and raising technical standards across a team

We're looking for a senior engineer who can think strategically whilst staying close to the technology, owning solutions from the data platform through to the end-user reporting experience.

Contract Details

• £550-£570 per day
• Outside IR35
• 6-month initial contract
• High likelihood of extension
• London based
• 2 days per week onsite
