| Description: | About EcoRisk EcoRisk supplies verified data on people and companies that have faced any level of enforcement action for environmental crime to the Know Your Customer systems that banks use to screen their customers. Since 2016, the programme has submitted more than 13,500 entity names, leading to more than 8,000 profiles created or updated in systems including World-Check and LexisNexis. Nineteen financial sector recipients use the data. The Financial Action Task Force cited the programme in 2020 as an example of effective collaboration between non-governmental organisations and the financial sector. EIA will be undergoing the processes of repairing, rebuilding and automating the platform between 2027 and 2029, which this role will directly support. Role Purpose The Data Support Officer sits within the Intelligence and Investigation Unit. The main purpose of the position is to enter data from large data sets, as well as collate and enter information relevant to environmental crime into EIA's systems in an accurate and timely manner to ensure EIA's Global Environmental Crime Tracker and Incident Database is kept up to date. Additionally, you would support EIA's EcoRisk project by accurately recording and manually vetting each submission to make sure every profile submitted is accurate, complete and unique before it reaches a bank's screening system.
