IT Support Engineer (12-Month FTC) 30,000- 40,000 Location: East Yorkshire with occasional travel across Yorkshire
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: 30,000- 40,000 Overview A manufacturing organisation is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support across multiple locations. The role focuses on end-user support, hardware deployment, troubleshooting, and supporting operational technology within production and warehouse environments. Key Responsibilities - Deliver on-site IT support for users and devices across multiple sites.
- Support PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues.
- Support industrial and warehouse technology, including scanners, label printers, touchscreens, handheld devices, and workstations.
- Configure, deploy, replace, and relocate IT equipment.
- Assist with user onboarding, moves, and leavers processes.
- Maintain asset records, stock levels, and documentation.
- Log and manage incidents and service requests via an ITSM platform.
- Provide local support for IT projects, upgrades, and deployments.
- Escalate infrastructure, application, network, and security issues where appropriate.
Required Experience - Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, field engineering, or site support.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, and basic networking.
- Experience using Service Desk/ticketing systems and working within ITIL-based environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable - Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, or operational technology environments.
- Exposure to SAP, warehouse scanning devices, industrial printers, or mobile computing equipment.
- Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, etc.).
