We are looking for a proactive, relationship focused individual to join a growing IT consultancy in the role of Contractor Relationship Manager. The focus of this role is to maintain relationships with approximately 30 IT contractors working on project-based assignments within Financial Services clients, including major banking organisations.

You will take ownership of the contractor experience throughout the assignment lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring that contractors remain engaged, supported and motivated, while also maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal delivery teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with contractors, acting as their main point of contact throughout their assignments
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with contractors, Delivery Managers and client project managers to monitor engagement, performance and project progress
  • Manage the contractor lifecycle, including onboarding, assignment extensions and offboarding
  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to anticipate future resource requirements and manage contractor allocations
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring expectations are managed and any issues are addressed promptly
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, managing escalations and maintaining appropriate records
  • Provide feedback, guidance and support to contractors, encouraging high standards of performance and professional behaviour
  • Manage contractual and commercial matters, including assignment terms, extensions and renewals
  • Maintain relationships with former contractors, helping to build a strong network of talent for future opportunities

We are looking for someone with exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, who is confident managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

You will be comfortable having challenging conversations, negotiating, delivering constructive feedback and managing both client and contractor expectations.
