iOS is the operating system developed by Apple for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad series of devices. It is based on the BSD variant of Unix and is operated primarily by touch input. iOS developers primarily use the Apple X-Code development enviroment, programming in Objective C, to code for these devices.
