JOB TITLE: Web Developer LOCATION: Wiltshire SALARY: Up to £36,000 WAY OF WORKING: Full Time Hybrid Permanent THE BUSINESS: C4S Search are proud to be working a fast growing, ambitious company in the Wiltshire area. THE WEB DEVELOPER OPPORTUNITY: - Craft mobile-first web apps, plugins, and products with a focus on user experience.
- Write maintainable, object-oriented code in Node.js, JavaScript, PHP, React, Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Handle back-end tasks using Node.js, PHP, and MySQL.
- Create responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, emphasising mobile and tablet optimization with frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery.
- Develop shared services such as extended search and single sign-on features.
- Build custom plugins for headless CMS using standard web technologies.
- Integrate solutions through APIs, libraries, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with the web development team to explore innovative technologies and stay updated on digital best practices and accessibility standards.
- Address technical inquiries and troubleshoot issues internally and externally via email, phone, or in-person communication.
YOUR KEY SKILLS: - Efficiently manages multiple tasks under pressure, meeting deadlines and budget constraints while upholding professional standards.
- Strong organisational skills with strategic planning abilities and proactive schedule execution.
- Collaborative background in product development teams or digital agencies.
- Experienced in agile methodologies such as Scrum for project management.
- Skilled in Node.js, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, React, and Next.js.
- Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiar with headless CMSs.
- Exposure to frontend frameworks and utilities like Bootstrap, SASS, and Webpack is advantageous.
DESIRABLE SKILLS: - Computer science degree or equivalent software development experience
- Proficiency in core web technologies
- Familiarity with MVC design pattern and contemporary deployment methods (Git, Serverless, CI/CD)
- Skilled in collaborating with internal and external clients
- Proactively seeks clarification and alignment on project goals
