On behalf of UMG, we are looking for a Junior Data Analyst for a 6 Month contract based in London.

The Role & Responsibilities:

Universal Music UK is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to support UMR with data-driven reporting and insight across artist and audience activity. You'll help source, clean and combine data, produce accurate SQL-based analysis, and turn partner and internal metrics into clear, actionable updates for stakeholders - making complex questions easy to understand and useful for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong SQL (accurate, efficient querying; BigQuery preferred or similar data warehouse).
  • Data sourcing, cleaning, and preparation (joins, validation, reusable tables/views).
  • KPI tracking and performance reporting (including partner data and stakeholder updates).
  • Dashboarding & visualisation (eg Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
  • Attention to detail and data quality mindset (spotting inconsistencies, documenting assumptions).
  • Clear communication: summarising findings for non-technical teams and responding to ad-hoc questions.
  • Organised and proactive: able to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Interest in music/repertoire context is advantageous
