Engineering Manager (SAP S/4HANA/SAP ECC) - Manchester

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract: Agency Worker - Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 37.5 per week

This is a *Hybrid* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working to *Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers*

Overview

Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team building and evolving integrations with SAP S/4HANA during a migration from a Legacy SAP ECC system.

This is a leadership-focused role. You will guide the team on technical decisions, architecture, and delivery while ensuring the platform meets business priorities and regulatory standards such as SOX and GDPR/PII.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers

• Oversee delivery, quality, and best practices

• Provide technical guidance on architecture and system design

• Support migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA

• Partner with Product and stakeholders to shape roadmaps and priorities

• Maintain platform health and drive innovation

Required Experience

• 2+ years engineering management experience

• 10+ years Back End software development experience

• Experience leading system migrations or modernisations

• Strong people management and communication skills

• Experience with critical production systems

Desirable

• SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC experience

• Cloud computing/AWS knowledge

• Experience in regulated environments (SOX/GDPR)

• Large-scale data processing or workflow management
