Digital Marketing SEO Manager

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a successful smart thinking full-service design, marketing and brand agency based in Nottingham with a strong track record of success over the past 25 years.

This job will focus on growing a sister company with a portfolio of clients across the US and operating like a start-up in need of digital marketing team leadership to help them continue their growth. You will be responsible for the line management, training and quality assurance of a small digital marketing team, as well as overseeing the day to day running of the department with the Director. Your experience as a marketing professional will allow you to manage some key client accounts, performing marketing tasks to a consistently high standard with a strong emphasis on organic SEO.

Although your focus will be in the US, you will be working from a very modern office space in Nottingham city centre, with impressive facilities. You will only be expected on site one day per week with flexi-time working hours also available.

Key Responsibilities

• People management & development - responsible for overseeing a small team of digital marketers to review performance, provide motivational/developmental feedback and ongoing training, coaching or improvement plans to aid individuals' developmental needs
• Work distribution - the distribution and organisation of work, assessing the capacity and capability of direct reports for allocation
• Quality assurance - ensuring that the team's work is completed to the high standard set by the company, providing constructive feedback where required to help refine the output
• Client work - manage and grow a selection of marketing accounts yourself, maintaining successful working relationship with clients
• Research & development - maintain a strong understanding of the evolving digital marketing industry and develop new processes and best practices to keep the company's offerings up to date
• Pitches & proposals - in conjunction with your team, you will contribute towards business development opportunities through proposals/pitches by determining suitability and demonstrating the calibre of the company's services

About You

You will be an experienced Digital Marketing professional with broad knowledge across Social Marketing, PPC and Wordpress / Shopify but ideally a strong background in organic SEO. You will also be proficient in the use of digital marketing tools e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile, Yoast & more.

Previous people management experience is important, and this would ideally come with experience working agency side.
