| Description: | MCS Group is delighted to be working with an innovative and fast-growing technology start-up as they look to appoint a PHP Developer to join their expanding engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the technology behind a platform that is helping companies operate more efficiently.As a PHP Developer, you will work closely with the CTO and founding team to help architect and scale the platform, contributing to both product development and long-term technical strategy.The RoleYou will play a central role in building and evolving a modern software platform used by a range of organisations. You will contribute across the full stack, designing scalable backend systems while also helping to deliver intuitive front-end user experiences.Key responsibilities will include:Designing and developing secure, scalable applications using PHP, Laravel and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.jsContributing to the architecture and evolution of a rapidly growing SaaS platformWorking closely with product, design, and leadership teams to deliver new features and improvementsExploring and integrating AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance automation across the platformMaintaining high standards around code quality, performance, and securityResearching emerging technologies and helping shape the company's technical directionTaking ownership of features and initiatives from concept through to deliveryThe PersonThe successful candidate will be an ambitious and technically strong developer who enjoys solving complex problems and building high-quality products.You will likely have:Software development experienceStrong experience working with PHP and LaravelFrontend development experience using Vue.js or modern JavaScript frameworksExperience building scalable SaaS platforms or web applicationsA passion for modern technologies and a strong interest in AI or machine learningThe ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your workA collaborative mindset and strong communication skillsExperience with Python or AI/ML technologies would be beneficial but is not essential.What's on OfferThis is an opportunity to join a high-growth technology start-up at an exciting stage of its journey where you will have real influence over the product and technical direction.The company offers:Competitive salary with performance-based equity optionsHybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPrivate medical and dental coverThe chance to work closely with founders and senior leadershipA high-autonomy environment with minimal bureaucracyStrong career progression opportunities as the company scales
