Data Engineer

Role: Data EngineerLocation: West Midlands - Hybrid 3 days per week in officeSalary: £45,000 to £53,000

A leading organisation is looking for a Data Engineer to join its IT & Data team on a permanent basis. This role involves supporting and developing data systems, analytics solutions, and reporting infrastructure across the business.The company have a very friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data warehouses and data models
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines
• Support reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions
• Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement long-term fixes
• Maintain documentation and monitor system performance
• Collaborate with third-party software providers and support integrations

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL Server knowledge, including query optimisation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Experience in ETL/ELT
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting business data systems
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users

Desirable

• Experience with EDI formats
• Knowledge of Jet Reports or Microsoft PowerApps
• UAT/testing experience
