Description: Summary
Build your expertise in electronic test engineering while supporting products as they move from development into production. This role offers hands-on technical challenges, exposure to complex systems and a clear opportunity to develop your career within the defence sector.

Location and setup
Hybrid working in Hertfordshire, with regular on-site attendance required due to the nature of the work.

What you will be doing
  • Support test engineering activities throughout development and production readiness phases
  • Diagnose faults within electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, supporting resolution through testing and analysis
  • Assist with the introduction and configuration control of test equipment and facilities
  • Produce and maintain test specifications, operator instructions and technical documentation
  • Work closely with manufacturing, operations and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support the development of new production test solutions
Skills and background
  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic test equipment and measurement techniques
  • Familiarity with fault diagnosis techniques for electronic or electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience using manufacturing or enterprise systems such as SAP, MES or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Essential requirements
  • Able to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
  • Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment
  • Understanding of electronic measurement, fault finding and test principles
  • Experience working with manual or automated test equipment
Salary and rewards
Circa 44,000 depending on experience.
