Description: We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Digital Car Sales Manager to join our client's reputable automotive business in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a key leadership role that offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in digital sales and team management within the automotive industry.

The successful individual will oversee the Digital Enquiry team, ensuring efficient lead management across multiple digital platforms, including email and chat inquiries. The Digital Car Sales Manager will collaborate with the Sales Manager to optimise processes, develop team members, and drive sales performance in a dynamic, target-driven environment.

  • Competitive basic salary of 30,000 per annum
  • OTE of up to 70,000 with commissions and bonuses
  • Monday to Friday working hours: 9am to 6.30pm
  • One late shift per week: 12pm to 9pm
  • Alternating weekends off with a weekday in lieu

Duties of the Digital Car Sales Manager:
  • Lead and manage the Digital Enquiry team to ensure the timely and efficient handling of digital leads
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to optimise lead conversion strategies
  • Motivate, develop, and coach team members to meet and exceed targets
  • Maintain high levels of customer service through effective relationship management
  • Monitor team performance and implement coaching sessions to enhance results
  • Utilise CRM systems to track, record, and manage customer inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with automotive finance and legal requirements
  • Contribute to the achievement of dealership sales targets through effective team leadership
Requirements of the Digital Car Sales Manager:
  • Proven experience in digital sales management within the automotive sector
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Extensive knowledge of digital sales platforms and online lead management
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and customer enquiry handling
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic personality
  • High attention to detail with strong communication skills
  • Understanding of vehicle finance and basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to perform confidently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to monitor and analyse performance KPIs
