Business Development Executive - Consultantive Sales

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Executive to join a healthcare company providing clinical pharmacy and prescribing support to GP practices and NHS partners.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving business development through a consultative approach, understanding client requirements, engaging with multiple stakeholders and guiding prospective clients through the sales process.

This office-based role offers a salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 plus uncapped commission and benefits. Full training will be provided.

You will take the time to understand each prospective client s needs, identify how the organisation s services can support them, engage with relevant decision-makers and guide them through a considered purchasing process rather than relying on a transactional sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities and pursue leads across targeted markets.
• Lead consultative sales conversations, navigating multiple stakeholders and addressing client requirements.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract completion.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed targets.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and track all sales activity.
• Collaborate with internal teams, particularly marketing, to access and brief on marketing tools and campaigns.
• Attend industry events, webinars and networking opportunities to promote services.
• Prepare reports, monitor KPIs and review sales performance.

What We Are Looking For

• Previously worked as a Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Account Manager, Account Executive, Healthcare Sales Executive, Medical Sales Executive, Education Sales Executive or in a similar role.
• Have prior experience in consultative sales.
• A background within medical, education, pharmaceutical, healthcare or a similar environment would be advantageous.
• Understand the importance of a considered purchasing process
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in business development, marketing and technology.
• Skilled in CRM systems, Microsoft Office and awareness of marketing tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence to attend industry events.
