Vendor Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bristol based client to recruit for a Vendor Manager.

The role:

This critical role is responsible for the performance, contract adherence, and day-to-day management of our external suppliers. The primary focus will be coordinating, auditing, and managing external vendors to ensure the consistent and contractual delivery across all 20 countries who meet specific technical and demographic criteria. The successful candidate will be the key liaison for all panel vendor relationships, guaranteeing data quality, contractual quota fulfilment, and timely performance reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management & Contract Compliance.
• Supplier Coordination & Contract Management.
• Manage ongoing relationships and rigorously ensuring all contractual obligations, quality metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Identify potential vendor-related risks.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior business management, ensuring they are fully informed of key vendor performance indicators (KPIs), major delivery risks, and mitigation strategies agreed upon with suppliers.

Experience and Skills required:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in vendor management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance against commercial contracts and drive delivery accountability.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, especially in monitoring delivery timelines, data quality checks, and contract terms.
• A proactive approach to identifying vendor performance risks and quickly sourcing and implementing effective solutions.
