About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Fire Alarm & Security Engineer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial sites including hospitals and retail environments, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning works on fire alarm and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems
• Working on commercial sites including hospitals and retail premises
• Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with industry regulations and company standards
• Completing relevant documentation and service reports accurately
• Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and contractors
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• FIA Units 1 & 2 certification essential
• BS2391 / BS5839 certification required
• Previous experience working on commercial fire alarm and security systems
• Experience within hospital and retail environments preferred
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence essential

Desirable Experience

• Security systems experience including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
• Experience working independently across multiple sites
• ECS/CSCS card beneficial
