About TrueLine Lasers: TrueLine Lasers is an ambitious start-up dedicated to transforming our innovative geospatial prototype for the Construction Industry into a market-ready product. We are seeking a hands-on Founding Engineer who is excited to be part of our journey and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology.

What We're Looking For

Core Experience:

• Self-starter: Applicant must demonstrate self-starter qualities. You take ownership of problems end-to-end and can work independently without needing constant direction.
• Engineering Expertise: 2+ years in an engineering role with proven experience in developing Microcontroller-based distributed systems using C++. Proficient in systems-level and low-level design.
• Software Development: Proficiency in building object-oriented software systems in C++.
• Mathematical Foundation: Strong understanding of geometry and calculus, with applied knowledge in physics and engineering.
• Embedded Systems: Demonstrated experience with Embedded control systems and a solid grounding in control theory.
• Development Environment: Comfort working in Linux-based development environments.

Strong Background In, or Eagerness to Develop:

• Digital Signal Processing: Practical hands-on experience or a solid mathematical foundation with a drive to apply it.
• Geospatial Technology: Successful applicants should possess a solid understanding of LiDAR, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technology, and other geospatial technologies.
• Point Cloud Processing: Experience with point cloud processing techniques and a strong conceptual understanding of the field.
• Field-Oriented Motor Control: Hands-on experience or a strong desire to develop expertise in this area.
• 3D Printing for Prototyping: Prior use in a hardware workflow or eagerness to adopt it as a standard tool.
• Mixed-Signal PCB Design: Hands-on experience or a clear drive to build this skill on the job.
