Job Title: MarTech Lead Role Type: Contract Length: 6 weeks initial Location: Remote Summary Our client seeks an experienced MarTech Lead to turn customer and commercial use cases into a clear architecture for a complex, multi-platform marketing technology ecosystem. Working with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects and platform specialists, you will shape a MarTech blueprint and mobilisation priorities, balancing customer impact, business value, risk and future flexibility. Key Responsibilities: - Translate priority business use cases into capabilities, data, decisioning, activation and platform responsibilities.
- Apply end-to-end expertise across customer data, identity and consent, CRM, orchestration, digital experience, measurement and AI.
- Shape the high-level architecture blueprint with architects and platform specialists, defining ownership, governance and guiding principles.
- Evaluate platforms against consistent use cases and principles, challenging vendor recommendations to ensure a coherent, vendor-neutral ecosystem.
- Present clear recommendations and trade-offs to senior stakeholders, covering customer impact, value, risk and flexibility.
- Facilitate use-case and architecture workshops to reach defensible decisions and clarify platform responsibilities.
- Assess evidence and classify questions as decide now, prove next or defer, keeping the sprint focused rather than drifting into detailed design.
- Define mobilisation priorities, dependencies, ownership and next steps.
Required Skills - Significant MarTech architecture and transformation experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of customer data, identity, CRM, personalisation, decisioning, orchestration, activation, digital experience, measurement and AI.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise CRM, cloud and data platforms, including architectural overlaps and integration.
- Ability to translate business and customer use cases into architectural requirements and actionable recommendations.
- Sound judgement on platform placement, considering latency, data gravity, channel proximity, interoperability, reuse, consent, privacy, cost and vendor lock-in.
- Ability to explain complex architecture choices clearly to senior business, product, marketing and technology stakeholders.
- Strong consulting skills: structured problem solving, workshop facilitation, synthesis, executive storytelling and recommendations.
- Retail, loyalty, personalisation or similar consumer-sector experience is highly desirable.
